I watched this week's episode last night. I like this show but dang it I'm not smart enough to know what the hell is going on. I read this on another board. Tit, is this about right in your opinion:
"elliot is in jail for hacking the guy that krista, his therapists, was going out on dates with in the 1st season. At the beginning of the season he was trying to get rid of Christian Slaters Mr robot and us, the imaginary friend that he created in the pilot and who he is talking to in the voice overs. He is doing so because he believes that both of us betrayed him by not telling him that mr robot wasn't real. Because of this, he has spent the whole season disguising his time in prison as him living with his mom. He felt he could kill both of us by doing so. However, through all of this stuff with ray he has come to the realization that he needs Mr robot. That he can't kill something that is apart of him because it is him. This realization means that we have regained his trust and he is lifting the mask that he was showing us"

I don't really know why he's in jail. Can't be for anything huge because he's getting released. Of course he was warned he was getting released by his black friend who mentioned a connection to the dark army so they could've pulied some strings on something more severe. The second half sounds about right. It's a little deeper than I was thinking. I just hope this show can make ask this crazy shit work and not fall apart like Lost.

There was a particularly good music score from last night's episode. After some Bing search sleuthing, I discovered it was by a band called Cymande; song is Dove. I invite you, reader, to give this a listen today. It is very relaxing in a tripping balls kind of way. Have you ever heard of Cymande? I had not. Apparently they were an English 70's funk band. Anyhoo, they good. Also good--last night's episode.

I had never heard of that band before but I'm listening to this track right now (on Spotify, yes) and I like it. I've been in a 70s funk groove lately and this fits perfectly. I will add it to my soul music playlist.

Are you all caught up and ready for tonight? Stop reading if you aren't. Do you think Darlene is dead? Her voice inflection is annoying, but I like her character overall and would be surprised if she was dead. I guess if she's dead she could be another layer of Elliot's unseen people he converses with. Last week's episode was the tits. That punk rock song at the beginning made me scramble for the volume.

I had another thought about last week's episode but never posted about it: Mr. Robot said something to Elliot about Tyrell choking that chick to death in S1, but would Elliot even know about that? Maybe it was explained but I forgot. If not, I'm calling it that Elliot is really Tyrell and he's married to that Angelina Jolie-looking chick but she's playing games with him because she knows he's got more than a few screws loose.

I'm 98% sure I'm wrong on this one.

Also, do you think Angela was wearing a wire on the subway and that was the fbi coming to get her in the end?

Author:  Tit Whistle [ Wed Sep 14, 2016 4:05 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: TV Talk

Or maybe he was wearing the wire and led them to her. They were more interested in her after he left.

I also really liked the crosswalk countdown to the shootout at the end of the last one. No way Darlene and her Carl mouth are dead. Cisco, however, is toast.

I completely tuned out on Darlene's cantina story. It was fascinating watching Macgyver Elliot set up shop. I can't believe he threw away those Pringles though. I would have eaten them, maybe even offered some to that tough guy.

:babyarm: That was a waste of good Pringles, but also an excellent quick summation of how Elliot is all business.

I was let down a bit by last night's episode. Oh, but I did come across this crackpot theory manifesto that was a good read. Wait to read until you watch.

That's crazy yet interesting.

I've decided I don't care much for Angela. I think she drags the show down and she's yet another character on TV who's supposed to be smart but never is.

Luke Cage is pretty good. I'm 3 episodes in. Kind of a Blaxploitation style to it. Fight scenes with invincible dudes are kind of boring though. Slow burn pace overall. So far, :leroy: :leroy: :leroy:

Finished this last night. I'd give it a solid B. If William Hurt's character was just a normal asshole it could have been an A. Wayyyy too over the top; distracts from the story line. BBT was great though.

It's fucking great. However, it's pretty much a horror show about open world games like Skyrim, so I'm probably enjoying it on another dorky level than some. But my wife also really likes it.

The acting is top notch
