I see that Qatar was selected over the U.S. to host the 2022 World Cup, and the Rooskies are getting the 2018 games. Thank goodness they aren't coming here. Yay, Qatarians. |

Viewership is up for the Wo's World Cup and percentagewise, it's up a bunch (150%). http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2011/07 ... espnespn2/ However, total viewers for that game was 637,000. BFD. Polkafest draws that much. I watched a little of the US/Sweden match the other day and actually stayed with it an entire 10 minutes. It still sucked. |

This is what I get for watching fucking soccer. Watched a good part of US vs. Brazil today and the US got screwed by the refs more than Ron Jeremy's victims. Seeing a unwarranted red card for an American, followed by a penalty kick being blocked by the American goalie and then disallowed, then seeing the other guys get another chance and make it was a bit much. However, I stuck with it. In extra time, Brazil scored even though they were offsides and took a 2-1 lead. I changed the station with a minute left and what a dumbass move that was. The Yanks scored while shorthanded and tied it, then won on penalty kicks. I am a dumbass for watching the game and a double dumbass for changing the channel. |
