I started hating the winter games because I can't deal with judging any more. I think inconsistent rulings in short track speed skating pushed me over the edge. Mrs. Hoob loves the Olympics, both summer and winter. I love her, but not her damn Olympics. Tune in for more hate later, my beloveds. |

Hockey fans pissed off over NBC decision to put U.S. vs. Canada hockey on MSNBC. Story here So, ice dancing and some other crap get on the big station and the Olbermann network gets to show the U.S. lose to the Canucks. People are crying about it. I actually agree with NBC on this one. My answer will be to watch neither of these. |

I'd say because the IOC is so corrupt it'd make the NCAA look like fucking Mormons by contrast. The Olympics goes to whatever country gives those fuckers all the money, add-ons, etc. |

It's going to be a tense plane ride back to Korea.  You have one Korean with a gold medal and 2 others with bruises on their asses after wiping each other out and losing the Silver and Bronze.... effectively giving them away to the Americans. I cracked up yesterday at a couple of people around the country who defended NBC's telecast, saying that the broadcast was 98 percent action now and the human interest stories were gone. Let me quote the great Deacon Jones: "That's a lie." Just passing through the living room yesterday I saw two of them. They just do it differently now to trick the sheep. No, they no longer to they take a camera out to Ames, Iowa to show the well that Zeke pulled Timmy out of. Now they tell the story about it while the ski jump is in the background. |
