It's basically an expiring deal that any team could get out of immediately. I'm surprised Marion is all they could get for it. This might mean they don't have plans to dump damp or trade Joho. Because the really good deals would have included one of those players. Plus Marion's a bit of a cancer. He's never happy. He thinks he's more important than he really is and he'll let you know it. But FINALLY it looks like the mavs are pushing Joho to the 2 position, which I love. And Marion is much more the type of player that will work well with Kidd. Still doesn't change the fact that no one on the mavs can consistently create his own shot but Dirk. |

Dude is young, very athletic, he's always working... basically everything Damp isn't. Just saying. i scratched my head when I heard about it but Barkley was raving about him during the playoffs and people who I trust are excited about this guy. And there's a decent chance that they do a sign and trade with bass and that'll free them up to do more FA-wise. If you're worried about money, worry about the deal they gave Marion. |
