He's taking less money, which usually most people would commend him on, but he's also running from his failure. For 7 years he couldn't bring a championship to Cle and now he feels like his time is running out. He probably thought coming out of high school he would end up with more trophies than Russell and now he's panicking.

At the end of the day though, he made more money sitting in that chair blabbing about Miami than I will make in my lifetime. f.m.l.

I don't follow the NBA so fill me in, but did he have a Scottie Pippen of his own in Cle or was it all his own show? Frankly I find the notion ridiculous that a 25-year-old thinks his time is running out, but that may be just gamlogic.

it was more his own show. Pippen was a decent player in his own right. Who the fuck is left with Cle now?

So Cle didn't have much except LeBron, and he was able to get them to the Finals pretty much on his own, yet he's a failure?

well, he gave up like a little bitch in the last game against the Celtics. That game turned a few people because of how obviously he had given up.

The medium for the bad news was ESPN, which figured. The network represents much of what is loud, obnoxious and empty in sports today. - Bill Livingston, Cleveland PLain Dealer

He failed to win a championship. He can't carry a team to win it all so he is going to Miami to be carried by Wade. That's not gamlogic, that's what the guy pretty much said. He wants to win as many championships as possible. He wants more rings than Jordan or Russell. He want to be remembered as the greatest player ever. Now though he's just Scotty Pippen. Not bad, just not Jordan.

Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert says LeBron James "quit" during the playoffs and should be accountable for his actions.

That is one bitter dude. I can't help but think Cuban would have actually reacted with a little class had Dirk decided to go elsewhere.

That made me giggle.

And, just think, we get to do this all over again in 4 years when he's running out of time at age 29.

A giggle from a random twitter: Chris Bosh is to the Heat what Val Kilmer was to Heat.

I've heard a lot of people celebrating Miami's lackluster start but I can't help but think they'll have it together by the end of the season. I don't think they'll be playing for a championship this year but next year they'll be the team to beat.

Thanks to Fark and Deadspin for these photos of Cuban in the 70s. And Cuban actually wrote captions for some of the photos.

Bascik's tweets about suicide if the Mavs don't get Deron Williams are pretty pathetic.

I want DW too, but there are lots of good free agents out there and it's not like the Mavs have to use the cap room on max players.
