So happy that the regular season has started, though it always makes me a little blue because it reminds me that Stu is no longer here to offer his analysis.

Great that they won their opener so it's obvious on their way to the World Series! 162-0 baby! :twirl:

Watching tonight's game. It's readily apparent that Odor has been working on his defense. He's covering ground and making some impressive throws.

Go Rangers!

If Banny is aldready ordering to throw at people's heads then this is going to be a heck of a year.

Especially since the pitch from Wilhelmsen was 3 below his head.

Obviously, our bullpen sucks. They can't even do that right.

Taking Mrs. Ich to our first Ranger game this year. Hope the Rangers fair somewhat better against the Orioles tonight!

It looked bleak for the first few innings, but our heroes didn't let me down! Great come from behind victory. :babyarm:

Hopefully Mrs Ich allowed you to have your own come from behind victory to celebrate ;)

Rangers just can't figure out Toronto.

Any good closers gonna be available soon?

Just so I'm clear, we're calling to replace the closer that is tied for the league lead in saves and has only 1 more blown save than the 2 guys he's tied with?

Post subject:  Re: Texas Rangers 2016

You seriously want to put the season in Tolleson's hands? Good luck with that.

Post subject:  Re: Texas Rangers 2016

He's blown one more save than the two guys he's tied with. You really think there are closers out there that are that much better? There are bigger problems than closer in their bullpen.

Well I guess if there's bigger problems there's no need to address this one then, huh?

Tolleson is a decent reliever but he's not a shut down guy. A quick look at his stats will tell you that.

Fuck the closer position. I feel like every year "baseball fans" freak out when "the closer" has a short stretch of mediocre pitching. It's very rangers facebook fan.

I guess if we're following Gam logic it's time to send Holland to Round Rock.

I agree with fruit on closers (surprise!). You do nothing for 8.5 innings, come in with a 3 run lead, you can give up 2 runs and still get a save. It doesn't seem like a stat that should be so important. I'd much rather my best pitcher come into a tie game in the 7th with 2 on and 1 out, than the bottom of the 9th with nobody on and a 5-2 lead. That said, Tolleson's xFIP is 2 runs better than his ERA, which suggests he's been a little unlucky. His K rate is down, but it's so early. I wouldn't panic, but I don't love him either. I think Kela, Diekman and Dyson are all better.

Round Rock doesn't want that loser.

These are good times for the red shoes. They sweep the Tigers. It's not a perfect weekend because of Fielder not making contact the entire damn weekend and Griffin getting injured. But they won.

The Angels lost to Tampax Bay. Again.

I like baseball. You could use some baseball.

I think Diekman is a good strong and would look good in the 9th. I'd much rather seem him there than Tolleson. But I get all my info from Facebook so I am wrong.

They need to invent a long DL stint for Fielder. Can we stick him on the 60 DL for GERD or hypertension? Maybe next year if they have to trade Yu they can force someone to take Fielder too.

Yay, Matt Bush got called up, and DeShields went down.

But the best part of it is, one of my Facebook friends posted about it, but the article has a picture of George W. and Daddy Bush along with Nolan Ryan. No Matt Bush.

Matt Bush was a the player of the game for about 5 minutes. Odor has now leaped over Elvis as the face of the team and cemented himself in Rangers lore. This will be talked about for decades.
