I'm sure Valentine won't be hard to replace.

We'll see.

Currently the best lineup (my opinion only) looks like this.
SS - Andrus
2B - Profar
3B - Beltre
RF - Cruz
1B - Moreland
DH - Kinsler
LF - Murphy
CF - Gentry
C - Soto

Bench - Olt, Martin, Young, Snyder, E Beltre

SP - Darvish, Harrison, Holland, Ogando, Perez
RP - Nathan, Scheppers, Kirkman, Grimm, Font

That's not that bad and that is the roster if they let all the FAs walk and bring nobody in. That's obviously not going to happen. You gotta think some guys will take significant steps forward, most notably Darvish (and my prediction would be Kinsler). Some will take steps back (Murphy and Harrison are my predictions). Hamilton's production is obviously going to be tough to replace.

I guess my question to Wash would be are you going to ride guys who you think are going to bust out of a year long slump or are you going to go with who's actually getting the job done. I don't care about days off. They could have taken the last week off if they had found one more win during the season and that points directly to the guy with the -2.0 WAR and the guy who played him every day.

PADMY kills the no hitter for Yu. This has all happened before and this will all happen again.

I still have doubts about Feliz, but I admit he pitched a pretty good game last night.

CJ throws 28 in the first. Big game jitters creeping up?

The guy is a head case. Most likely bipolar. When he's up he's REALLY up, and when he's down he brings everyone down with him. I know the Rangers success at the plate lives and dies by Josh, but what if he wasn't there? He can't bring the team down if he's not in the dugout. (just saying)

Okay, keep in mind who is typing this:

1. They'll have to sign him to too many years. All great the first 2 but after that the roids will wear off, his body will really start breaking down and he'll become a distraction.

2. His narcissism is detrimental to the team. Brown contacts? Quitting tobacco in the middle of the season? Doesn't owe the Rangers anything?

3. "As Josh goes, so do the Rangers" - It's great when he's up and loving life, but when he's going through one of his phases he drags the whole team down. There are several exceptional players on the team. They can be great without him.

4. He's killed once and he'll do it again.

All this being said, if they can talk him into taking a 4 year deal I would be the first one to say sign him up.

I am a goddam baseball savant.
