My mom's twin sister began following the Rangers at age 70. It was odd that this happened. Her kids didn't play baseball and she never cared for the game. But she started watching them and never missed a game on TV for the last couple of years of her life. She died in the spring of 2011. My mom lamented that her sister didn't get to see them finally make it to the World Series.

I wonder what my aunt would have thought about the events of the past couple of days.

16 wins, 200 IPs, 200 Ks is impressive. But he's such a flake. There's no salary cap, so there is no "overpaying" unless it prohibits them from signing other guys. I like him as a #2, but there is no #1 here. They are worse without him though. Not sure he has as big of a market as he thinks he does.
