They made a lot of bad moves in an effort to win now. This year they got the right mix of guys. That's all. |

I don't think having the highest payroll means you should win the Championship. 5 and 7 game series are such a small sample size compared the the regular season, so anything can really happen once you get there. But having the highest payroll definitely means you should have a better team - and the Yankees have made the playoffs every year except 2008, which may seem unfair to some since they likely got there by spending a lot of money. I'm not griping, because I like baseball the way it is. Just saying is all. |

The playoffs aren't much more than a crapshoot. Whoever gets hot can go far, and one mistake can cause a huge shift. That's why I think the Royals win it all next year. |
