Face is going to someplace he can start and that's not here. There are plenty of desperate teams that will play him at 3rd.

Here is something I copied from Newberg:

"According to FanGraphs, Choo has popped up on the infield six times in the last three seasons combined (compare that with 249 line drives). That includes one pop-up in 2013.

Kinsler? Over the last three years, 90 infield pop-ups."

Post subject:  Re: Offseason Discussion Thread

I'm not here to say Kinsler is awesome and I understand people hate popups for whatever reason but I don't know why people get so fired up. An out is an out and you know what else? You can't turn two off a popup. If you want to hate something hate the GIDP.

Right after that, he mentioned that Kinsler strikes out a lot less than Choo. I should have copied the whole thing.

My problem with him is, he looks like he is trying to pull everything.

Oh, and suck it, Pittsburgh. Those fuckers wanted all these changes to the posting process and they just made it even worse for themselves.

I don't know why anyone would think that this way would be better for small markets.

From what I could tell, the small markets weren't even in play. Most probably didn't even bid the $20M to get in the room. (This may be documented somewhere, but I don't know.)

Yes. It'd be funny if they traded him to the Marlins in July.

Junior was bagging on Wash again this morning. I don't know what he's got against Wash but he's never been on board with him. When Wash was first hired and everyone was getting excited for the season to start, Junior was the lone voice of dissension at the Ticket. And he gives no real reason for it. His main argument is "Well, if Daniel's doesn't trust him enough to offer an extension then why should we?" or "When Cliff Lee was here he said anyone could manage this team". Never mind the fact that Lee is an empty headed dipshit from rural Arkansas that probably doesn't hand out compliments to black men on a regular basis.

Junior is a very good debater. He normally presents his arguments in a direct, clear fashion and 99 times out of 100 I agree with his side. On this topic though he makes no argument in his favor. He sounds a lot like George usually does.

he was single for a long time. You can call him a master debater

Post subject:  Re: Offseason Discussion Thread

He's single again.

And I thought Craig's argument was just fine, even though I got the feeling he didn't want to be debating it. Cliff Lee was right. Doesn't compliment black men? And you're criticizing Craig's argument? Good to have you posting again though.

Yeah, that dig on Lee was cheap, I know. I still don't think he was right. Wash seems to be more than just a baby sitter.

Newberg had this paragraph today:

Fred Roggin (KFWB 980 The Beast) hears from “a pretty fair source” that the Dodgers have contacted Texas to discuss Elvis Andrus, suggesting Los Angeles might try to push outfielder Carl Crawford on the Rangers. Ken Rosenthal (Fox Sports) includes Andrus on his list of 10 prominent trade candidates around the league.

All 13 players turned down the qualifying offer this year. All 9 rejected it last year. I wonder if anyone will accept it next year (it will be more than 14 mil) after seeing Cruz, Drew and Santana.

Nope, 0-12. 0-34 in three years. Someone's gonna get screwed again.

I idly clicked on Angelswin tonight and noticed that the Rangers traded Daniel Robertson to them for a PTBNL.

Good for the Angels. I hate those sonofabitches.

Joe Mikulik has been hired to manage at Frisco. This guy is known for having funny meltdowns on the field.

At first I got really excited because I thought it was the guy that threw the rosin bag at the ump like it was a grenade, but then I realized it was a different guy, Phillip Wellman.

Oh, well. Go Frisco.
