The Rangers need to get a black quarterback. |

Mike Hindman has a decent breakdown of the Rangers' pitching depth in the farm system. If they get a decent percentage to make it up to the big leagues, they should have a solid staff in 3 years. In the mean time, it will be much the same. |

Or a moderate-to-decent outfielder with a year left on his contract and severe anger issues. |

Word has it Michael Young won himself a Gold Glove. |

Throw in Adrian Gonzalez won one in the NL. Young has the best fielding percentage. I guess he fields the ones hit right at him. |

My opinion of the Gold Glove award dropped dramatically after Raffy got one. |

Big Unit wrote: My opinion of the Gold Glove award dropped dramatically after Raffy got one. Agreeded. Young winning could be a reward for being generally underrated by not playing in a big baseball market. It happens a lot that these things are handed out for reasons other great fielding (see Jeter). |

The league likes Young. He played most of the year with a broken finger. He won that Man of the Year award. He's had the game winning rbi in two all star games. The Gold Glove would just be a pat on the back, not necessarily rewarding him as the best fielder. |

Yankees decline arbitration on all free agents |

Post subject: | Re: Offseason Discussion Thread |
Declining Abreu was the big surprise, but if he accepted arbitration, he'd probably get a raise and they'd have 6 outfielders. The compensatory picks are nice, but probably not worth having an overpaid guy on your team that you can't move. |

The Rangers secret plan is in affect. They traded Littleton to the Red Sox. Look for their bullpen to immediately suck. |

Did you really think he would turn down that much money to play on the West Coast? Looks like they still wanna sign Manny too. Hopefully that means they'll finish 3rd in the AL East. |
