You guys know about the mlb.tv app, right? Even if you don't buy a subscription, they have a "free game of the day" that you can watch (stupid blackout rules apply). Today is the DBags vs Padres.

The cool thing is there is an app for the Xbox, Roku and probably Apple and PS3 that allow you to watch on your television in full HD quality. It's pretty pretty pretty cool.

I bought it last year. I had to do some hood rat stuff to watch the Rangers. I was hoping this year Sling would add the regional Fox stations, but so far that haven't. There's not even a rumor of it. I'll probably pick it up after basketball playoffs are done, then I can watch the Rangers lose every other night.

Can you use it to watch local teams? I thought all the Rangers and Astros games were blacked out on it? Whenever the Yanks play the Rangers, I'm stuck listening to TAG piss and grumble on the local networks. I usually switch to the radio broadcasts on those nights.

You can't watch local teams (which for some reason includes HOUSTON for us) but it's easy enough to get around that. Rumor is that they are going to lift that restriction at some point, but I don't know when.

His velocity was dwindling last season and it was like, nobody noticed. Today he was throwing in the low to mid 80s. People are noticing now.
