You can have ultra gay conversations with your wife about gay things without being labeled gay. I.e. big brother, bachelor/bachelorette, and GoT conversations. |

"Just two people standing at opposite ends of a counter island peeling and arranging their respective bananas on separate bread and butter plates" passed through my mind this morning. I looked over at my wife who was chewing on the inside of her cheeks as she does when she's playing out imagined work scenarios in her mind. As if on cue, we both had our forks hovering just before smashing the bananas into a guac-like paste which we have both found to be a lovely complement to oatmeal, way moreso than simply slicing them. Today it struck me as a weirdo couple quirk. Sometimes I wonder how many of these I've picked up. |

You guys sound like one of those old couples I see in restaurants who sit across from each other or side-by-side and don't say a word to each other while waiting for the food to arrive. They just stare away from each other and wait. All stories have been told, the adventure is gone, and there's just the sighing resignation of another day in each other's company, which provides a comfort they couldn't fathom living without yet doesn't stifle thoughts of what else could have been. Or they fucked like jackrabbits the night before and don't wanna discuss it in public. It's one of those two, I'm sure of it. |
