This is the stupidest fucking argument ever! Why would you want a man walking into a womens bathroom? What if there are little girls in there, or non-lesbian women, that aren't comfortable with a man in the bathroom with them? I don't walk in the bathroom in my house if my own daughter is in there. There is NO reason for me to be in there! Just like there is no reason for some strange "man" to walk into a public bathroom with any girl or woman. So, if I am to comply with the "right" way of thinking, I should be able to say, go to the womens locker room at the gym? Where does it stop? Because I feel this way, doesn't mean that I am anti-gay. It means that I have my own opinion, which I am completely entitled to. And, if I were anti-gay, that would also be my right. The bathroom thing is not a freedom of speech issue, it's a public safety issue. If this is how America ends up, should I go into the bathroom with my daughter and guard the stall door, or is it politically incorrect to prevent some freak from raping her, or trying to watch her go to the bathroom? |

I try to be as understanding as I can about a lot of this stuff because people are all different, right? You can't control who you are, you just are. So if someone is born one gender but their brain is wired to the other then they've already got it pretty tough. But there has to be a line somewhere where accommodating a small section of people is far beyond what the majority of people are expected to do and I think this whole bathroom thing is a pretty good example. What's to stop someone from just dressing up as the opposite sex and walking into places they normally wouldn't be allowed? Do we start requiring transgenders to get a license and carry a card to prove they are truly who they say they are? The slope is awfully slippery. I think very soon we will see a law passed that says public building will have to be designed with 3 bathrooms or locker rooms. Men, women and "Family" for everyone else. |
