Cool. I always wanted to get one, but I thought it made drinking a little too easy. What size/model did you get? How long will a tapped keg stay fresh/pressurized before going bad?

Easy? This is a pain in the ass.

My wife bought some shoes off of the Zappos site. Words that start or end in z's are fun to say. Sometimes words with z's in them are onomatopoeic. At any rate, I understand the buzz surrounding that site. They get stuff to you in a zip, their prices sizzle, and get this, they also sent her a pair of shoes she did not order. They are men's Nike sb Clutch. I can't wear them as they are too big. (Size 9  ) If any of you Sasquatch fuckers want a pair of free shoes post your address and I'll mail them to you.

pic of shoes: :ebrake:
Aren't they the coolest?

Do you ever feel persuaded to buy stuff you don't need just cause it is marked "Extreme" and bonus points if they spell it "Xtreme"? I sure do. Words with x's in them are fun to say. Sometimes the x's sound like z's.

I wear size 12s. Thanks for the offer though. They are nice shoes. I'm currently wearing Ascics.

A pool. We inherited a pool when we bought our last house and that was the hardest thing we gave up when buying this house. We begin bombing in 5 minutes.

I tossed the kegerator that I mentioned on the previous page, btw. That was more of a pain than it was worth.

There are times when I wish I had a pool, but then it dawns on me that I'd rarely use it and it'd be a big ol' waste of money for us.

I've never been in a house with a pool. I think I would enjoy it. I have never had a hot tub either. We had a bathtub with jets once, but once the water got deep enough to utilize them there would be no more hot water.

Like the saying goes, the two happiest days of your life is the day you buy your pool and the day you sell it.

It's okay. I don't think my pool/boat mashup was funny either.

I work with a guy who bought a house in Plano that already had a pool. Turns out it was all sorts of fucked up. He ended up putting around $25k into fixing it. Basically they had to redo everything except dig the hole. Apparently you can expect this kinda stuff after 20-25 years. Pools aren't worth it is what I'm saying.

My dad was a CB man. He used to try to engage with truckers on road trips to get smokie reports but I don't remember him succeeding much. Boy, those truckers could be crass. I had a Nextel walkie talkie phone in the early aughts. I liked it but those things could get you in trouble.

My dad was a CB guy too. We'd take 4 hour trips on the NY thruway to my grandma's and he'd have that thing on listening to the truckers the whole way. He never tried to engage them, but he'd laugh at the shit they'd say. Those are some characters, those truckers.

comms will be vital when the emp goes off. have a rallying point if your comms are down. leave some basic supplies buried in a watertight pvc pipe at that location.

My friends and I used to have CB radios in high school. We would try to troll people but our trolling skills were pretty lackluster back then.

My dad had one in the 70s. Once we got stranded when he ran out of gas and he was able to call for help with it. Outside of that I just remember it made a lot of noise and I couldn't understand anyone on it.

Aside from dunch, what would you do if you win? Be creative. It's Friday and I'm bored.
