An exciting byproduct of eating a bunch of beets is it makes both poop and urine look bloody.

Today is our annual stupid Halloween party. They will serve us lukewarm chain pizza while we watch a certain few embarrass themselves with a lip sync contest and karaoke. An estimated 90% of the workforce today is dressed as disgruntled employees. I'm leaving at 10:30 today, as I will partake in none of this but also didn't want to burn a vacation day.

I ran over a possum last night with my car. Dumbshit ran out into the road. I swerved, but hit it anyway. His fault.

Anyone that put their Christmas decorations up this weekend and posted about it on social media deserves a punch directly to the cunt and/or throat. It is November fucking 20th. Assuming that the average person leaves them up until the New Year (and if they put them up this early, you know they do), that means they're up for 6 weeks. I would lose my damn mind.

We have a neighbor who put their's up LAST weekend. They look stupid right now. Word has it they also keep their tree up until March or so. That's because the woman who lives there is the female equivalent of a manchild.

I got talked into doing Xmas lights this year (not before Thanksgiving), because apparently in 2015 I said we could discuss it in 2016. I'm sure I used that to back them off of me. Apparently having a single layer of white lights across the roof will make my kids soooooo happy. Who knew.

But we threw away/donated/sold about 90% of their toys this past weekend, so the playroom (that they never used) is starting to transition to a game room (that I will never use, but at least it looks cooler). I thought they would cry and start playing with all the crap that we were getting rid of, but they didn't give a shit. I'll take the Xmas lights trade for getting the shit out of the house.

you should use the guy Ted uses. he said it was only $350. I might see if he'll do my parent's house so my dad doesn't end up falling off the roof.

We did minimal Xmas lights this year. We sold our inflatable yard art in a garage sale and I opted (note this was agreed upon solely by me) to not put the net lights on the bushes this year. I did put our big light up wreath over the garage. Took all of 5 minutes to get the ladder out, hang it, and run an extension cord into the garage. Monkeying with a timer took considerably longer. I can't really remember how to set it so I'll probably just buy a new one. I bet the outdoor timer business is a good one to get into just for that reason.

I keep things pretty low key with the outdoor lights: 3 strands of old school C-9 incandescent lights in red and green. I was going on year 13 of using the same set. When I went to put them up yesterday, the fuse on one set blew twice, so I've come to the realization that I need to replace them. I've been to 3 different stores and searched online for LED C-9s and I'm completely beaten down by not being able to find what I want.

Those were/are my favorite Christmas light bulb. They smell good too, like Christmas. The red green combo is a classic look for a crisp Christmas presentation. Good luck in your search.

If you did someone a favor and they say they are taking you out to lunch, thats good. If they take you to Cis Cis pizza, are they really paying you back for the favor?
