Was 13 degrees when I woke up this morning. I did the country thing and left the water dripping all night, but I didn't leave the hot water dripping too. So the hot froze. I'm not a true country person any more, I guess. It thawed out before lunch. Noticed on Facebook that several others in the area had no water this morning, mostly people with their own well and the water froze in the pump house. |

I just had to email someone on the east coast and explain how this weather kept me from shipping out a pallet to him today because my employee that was supposed to meet the freight driver couldn't make the 10 mile drive in 30 minutes. |

I just about can throw down a proclamation that it can't touch me. It hailed big time about 5 miles north of me, and it stormed about 5 miles south. It barely rained at Hoob Acres. For the first time in about 10 years, I have a car without hail damage and I'd like to keep it that way. |

A couple of Weather Channel storm chasers wrecked in west Texas this afternoon and didn't make it, pal. The wind is a-howling, but the storm is about 3 hours away from here. I'm so scared, baby. I live about a mile from a volunteer fire department house and it is next to a convenience store. At the store this afternoon, one of the volunteers said she and some other firemen were going to wait out the storm at the fire house. She wasn't bad-looking at all. When I passed by the station at 8:00 pm, there were a handful of cars there. I wonder if she was fondling the hoses. |

6:45 on weekdays except Thursday when I have to get Tit Jr to school by 7:00, so that's closer to 6am. I don't get out of bed til at least 8 on weekends. Sometimes I make it to 9. I'm not a morning person. |

The 1st 30 minutes or so are for coffee, reading, and captain visits. Around 5 it's off to the gym. Back home around 6ish. Then it's smoothie time and a dog walk. This puts me around 7. Usually a third or 4th captain visit followed by shower and out the door for work around 8. |
