Don't fix that roof just yet. I guess thunderstorms are the new wintry mix. Delkus has had a hardon for the impending storm for at least 3 days. Would serve him right if all we got was a light sprinkle. Sky's are clear right now. Only bad stuff in Texas is in Midland. |

We lost our power for about an hour last night. I can't remember the last time that happened. My grid is strong.  We did have one house in our neighborhood get struck by lightning! Set the attic on fire, but no one was hurt. Minimal damage. |

Some folks can tell weather from the smell. Others have a knee that bothers them when a storm is brewing. Yesterday I figured out it was going to rain because I have a dog that has a full on anxiety attack and freaks out when the barometric pressure rises. When the thunder rolls and the lightning strikes at Gamelot, the Carl starts breathing heavy and pacing around the house a la Bowfinger. |

Finally getting the roof fixed tomorrow after, ya know, 40 days of waiting. We had to switch contractors because the first people who we agreed to have do everything suddenly stopped returning our calls. Fortunately, we didn't sign a contract with them and didn't pay them a dime for anything. They can fuck right off. Had to call someone else and get put on the bottom of their To Do list. At least these new guys are good and they've already done most of the work for a neighbor. I think we can rely on them. If you ever need home repairs, avoid Premium Roofing in Grapevine. Ya done fucked up, dudes, and now I'm telling the whole Internet (or at least the 10 people who might read this.) |

I had a guy from Wylie come out to give me a quote for all the work on our house. Two weeks later and not a damn word. Another contractor came out and was all pissy with us. It is difficult to find reputable people to come out. |
